What is wrong with the media today?

I came across this today, and almost cried. Cartoon Network isn't even the start of it, Nick and Disney are doing this too. Nick used to have Invader Zim, Doug, Rugrats, and ( don't act like you won't agree with this) the original Blue's Clues. Disney had Darkwing Duck, Hercules, Timon and Pumbaa. And Toonami wasn't the only thing Cartoon Network ruined, it got rid of Samurai Jack, Foster's Home,  Dexter, and Johnny Bravo. Goddamn, what happened to real television and cinema?

  1. I agree with you 100%. Part of it is that I grew up with these shows and am very nostalgic about them. I really miss Toonami though. There was nothing like running home from school and watching DBZ! It's not the same of DVD because there is no TOM :(

  7. the world is being absorbed by Pop culture as usual and as a result its turning into a sarcastic, annoying justin beiber filled, jersey shore watching, cellphone glued to your forehead, bleached blond, lulu lemon wearing, eminem and gangster wannabes high on X and MDA. Oh well I guess it could be worse, it could be a denim wearing, heavy metal listening, mullet waring, jerry curl greasin, long haired, spandex wearing LSD and Pot smoking. Well actually the last 30 years has been a circus. Forget that.....No comment

  9. they're just trying to appeal to a bigger demographic. it's a shame that dollars mean more than entertainment value.

  10. Nickelodeon used to have the BEST cartoons. Kids these days are brainwashed into thinking that crap like Big Time Rush or these other god awful programs are decent television.

  11. Yeah, cartoon network cartoons are a joke now. Even the animation is crappy. I can't even sit through "my gym partner is a monkey".

    Disney channel is worse.

    [Adult Swim]

I think that more than makes up for 86ing Toonami, and I LOVED Toonami.
